Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Southport - Luke Hutchinson & Max Conway impressive

Luke Hutchinson - 9

Goalkeeper made some great saves to keep his team in the encounter, particularly from Niall Watson in the early stages. Continued with remarkable display after the break including double stop from Connor Woods and Adam Anson.

Eric Yoro - 6

First start since move from UCD. Played on the right of the back three and made great stop from Jack Bainbridge. Like rest of defence, struggled at times with the Sandgrounders forward line.

Lamine Toure - 7

Up and down game in the heart of defence. Made some good challenges and interceptions at times, but sometimes outmuscled by the impressive Southport forward line. Recovered well in the second half.

Adam Senior - 7

Matty Grivosti - 7

Lined up as right wing-back. Not as much as a threat as Conway but had the odd dangerous cross in the first half. Got on the ball more after the break.

Andrew Tutte - 7

Generally solid in midfield and added valuable experience once again to this young group.

Arran Pettifer - 7.5

Made decent decisions both on and off the ball in the middle of the park throughout his time on the pitch. Replaced in the closing stages.

Max Conway - 8.5

Very bright and positive down the left flank with his pace, crossing and ability to get past players. One of the big positives on the evening for Wanderers.

Connor Stanley - 7

Ex-Manchester United youngster looked creative in the number 10 role. Had plenty of bright ideas on the ball though not too many came off.

Conor Carty - 7

Nice touches from the former Wolves man to bring his team mates into play. Taken off on the hour mark.

Gez Sithole - 6.5
