Manchester United defender scores rare goal as Mason Greenwood makes latest Getafe appearance

Manchester United defender Brandon Williams stepped off the bench to score his first goal for loan club Ipswich Town against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Sent on at half-time to replace fellow defender Harry Clarke, Williams, who joined the Tractor Boys on loan during the summer transfer window, headed home an 87th-minute leveller to earn Kieran McKenna's side a point in a 1-1 draw. He powered home a diving header from inside the six-yard box after meeting Leif Davis' cross back across goal.

It rescued Ipswich a share of the spoils and extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven matches. It also denied Darren Moore his maiden win as Huddersfield boss in his first home game in charge.

Williams, who turned 23 at the start of September, has started each of the Tractor Boys' last two league matches on the bench. He has made eight appearances in total since joining the club, starting on three occasions.

Elsewhere on the loan front, fellow United defender Will Fish helped Hibernian extend their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership to four matches as they drew 0-0 at home to Dundee. He played the full duration of the match as Nick Montgomery's side registered a third clean sheet in their last four league games.

Fish, who also spent time on loan at the Edinburgh-based club last season, has started each of Hibs' opening seven league games this season, meaning he is storing regular game time under his belt. He has made a total of 13 appearances across all competitions so far this term.
