Manchester United have confirmed 2,000 Galatasaray fans were allowed into the home section at Old Trafford earlier this month.
United welcomed Galatasaray for their second Champions League group game on October 3 and the final whistle following the 3-2 defeat revealed pockets of away supporters celebrating in the home section.
A large group of fans were seated together in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, while hundreds more in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand flocked towards the away end to join in with the celebrations.

An investigation was launched and fresh information has now been revealed following the latest fans' forum on October 10.
United's director of supporter services Sam Kelleher confirmed that 2,000 Galatasaray fans were allowed into the home end of the stadium - the same number of supporters in the official away end with legitimate tickets.
The club also said some Galatasaray fans were refused entry, but chief operating officer Collette Roche explained the supporters who managed to invade the home section weren't removed because 'forced ejection can pose risks'.
Regarding how Galatasaray fans obtained tickets in the home section, Roche said 'bots' online were responsible for some sales in the South Stand, which then saw tickets redistributed at a higher price via ticket touts.
Roche said: "As such, our system showed that these tickets were predominantly sold to long-standing official members who have attended other matches in recent seasons, with a large percentage being to those under the age 16, and therefore did not appear in pre-match checks to pose any risk.
