Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag named Premier League Manager of the Month for February

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month prize for February.

The Dutchman led the Reds through an unbeaten February, recording wins over Crystal Palace, Leicester and Leeds, as well as a draw against the latter. Ten Hag also won his first piece of silverware last month as United defeated Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Ten Hag, who also won the Manager of the Month award in September, bagged the accolade for the second time this season, with only Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta having won more this term. The Gunners boss has three awards to his name and won it back-to-back across November/December and January.

The Reds manager was up against Tottenham's Antonio Conte and Fulham's Marco Silva for the February honour, with the former Ajax chief coming out on top in a vote which included both fan opinion and the verdict of a panel of experts.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford won the Player of the Month award for February to complete a clean sweep for United. The 25-year-old, who scored five times in the top-flight last month, has won the accolade three times already this term, which matches Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah for most awards in a single season.

The England ace is the first player to win the award in back-to-back months since Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan two years ago. Rashford has registered a staggering 26 goals and nine assists in all competitions for Ten Hag's side this campaign.
