Manchester United 2-1 Leicester highlights as Alejandro Garnacho double seals FA Youth Cup win

Manchester United kept their dream of winning the FA Youth Cup alive when they hosted and narrowly beat Leicester City 2-1 in the quarter-final at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Travis Binnion's side had already defeated Scunthorpe, Reading and Everton in the competition so far this season and were looking for another big performance against the in-form Foxe — which they certainly got.

United currently sit ninth in the Northern section of the U18 Premier League, while visitors Leicester are third in the Southern section and would go to the top of the table if they were to win their matches in hand.

Having won tonight's tie, thanks to Alejandro Garnacho's two goals and after going 1-0 down, United will now host either Wolves or Brighton in the semi-finals of the youth competition. United have won the trophy a record 10 times but have not tasted victory since they won it last in 2011 with the likes of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard in the team.
