Manchester's own winter wonderland is returning to the Trafford Centre this Christmas - with thrilling rides and a live ice-skating show
Manchester is known for going all out during the Christmas season, and this year promises to be no different. The Trafford Centre's 'Tinsel Town' event, its very own winter wonderland, will be returning this month.
From Friday, November 17, 2023, until Monday, January 1, 2024 visitors will be able to enjoy a full festive day out complete with fairground rides, a shimmering ice rink, the SNOWSTORM spectacular ice show, and a Christmas Tree Bar.
The Big Wheel will also be making a comeback at the shopping centre grounds until Sunday, January 7, offering riders stunning views of the city's skyscape and glittering lights at a staggering height of 55m. There will be local food vendors offering tasty food and drinks throughout the event too.
But that's not all, there's fun for the little ones this year as well. The new Santa's Grotto experience will be coming to the Trafford Centre from Saturday, November 18, all the way until Christmas Eve.
In this land of wonder and enchantment, dreams do come true and letters to Santa require a very special delivery. A Christmas Market will complete the experience, where families can enjoy a mug of gourmet hot chocolate and other sweet treats, have a professional photo taken and browse other branded merchandise.
Simon Layton, centre director at Trafford Centre, said: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year here at Trafford Centre, where we’re all about making cherished festive memories for families. Wrap up warm and kickstart the festivities with a visit to Tinsel Town, a trip to see Santa in our magical Grotto or simply soak up the atmosphere whilst you shop with our twinkling Christmas lights.
