Manchester Metropolitan University continues to lead the way with degree apprenticeships
Degree apprenticeships at Manchester Metropolitan University are acting as a fast-track ladder for social mobility and benefitting employers by growing talent and reducing skills shortages.
In collaboration with its employer partners, the university has developed industry-relevant programmes to address critical skills shortages.
Manchester Metropolitan University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate-level qualifications, which give degree apprentices the perfect platform to launch their career or take it to the next level.
With experience of working with more than 700 employer partners, the university is now open for the September 2025 intake.
With a decade of experience delivering degree apprenticeship excellence, the university has seen over 5,400 apprentices participate in degree apprenticeships and over 2,000 graduates in important subject areas including business, HR and management, creative and digital technology, health and social care, and science.
Manchester Metropolitan University was one of the first universities to launch degree apprenticeships in 2015 and the first university provider at its scale to be rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in 2018 and again in 2022. The university received the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold status 2023-2027, meaning it is rated as an outstanding university for its student experience.
In addition, the university has been rated as 'Excellent' by employers and apprentices in the Gov.uk survey, and it holds DFE ‘Expert Provider’ status.
