Manchester court updates LIVE as more charged over disorder following riots
More suspects are set to be appear in court today (Wednesday) in connection with disorder in Greater Manchester last weekend.
Chaotic scenes unfolded in Manchester city centre and in Bolton last Saturday and Sunday amid a widespread escalation of rioting across the UK. Disorder broke out at an 'Enough is Enough' protest in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday, while demonstrators and counter-protesters clashed outside Bolton town hall on Sunday with missiles thrown at police and scuffles breaking out.

Yesterday Greater Manchester Police's Chief Constable Stephen Watson said that the 'orchestrated criminality' that took place over the weekend 'had nothing to do with lawful protest'. He vowed there would be more arrests and charges with a dedicated 'arrest-cell' led by a senior officer set up to comb through CCTV and police body-cam footage to bring trouble-makers to justice.
