Manchester city centre favourite San Carlo given spectacular Halloween transformation to welcome in October

The front of San Carlo in Manchester city centre has been transformed into a pumpkin palace to welcome in October.

The popular Italian restaurant, on King Street, now has a huge pumpkin arch over its front doors, as well as an autumnal display of the orange fruits across its exterior window sills. The decorations also feature faux leaves and berries to really bring home the touch of autumn.

It's not the first time the haunt has gone large with its seasonal decorations; last December a huge Christmas cracker hung above its doorframe, above a large arch made up of of multi-coloured baubles.

Gino had only launched the restaurant in January last year, after taking over the former Piccolino site in the upmarket Cheshire village. Following a £3m transformation, the new site reopened to the public this August.

It now boasts jaw-dropping interiors and a stunning garden terrace dining room with a retractable roof at the front of the site, as well as a raft of new palm trees planted
