Erik ten Hag knows how to solve Manchester United's Jadon Sancho problem

Jadon Sancho's position at Manchester United is quickly becoming untenable.

Since Erik ten Hag made a point of criticising the winger's performances in training and Sancho took the opportunity to slam the manager on social media, declaring himself a 'scapegoat', the United man has done little to garner much sympathy. Training away from the first team, the 23-year-old wisely chose to delete his controversial post yet has decided not to apologise for it.

While the argument surrounding whether Ten Hag was right to call out Sancho or not is up for debate, what should be clear is calling out the manager online in response is not the way to deal with it. The Dutchman is right to demand an apology from his player and you can imagine this would be the end of it.

However, MEN Sport reported on Wednesday evening that Sancho is digging his heels into the ground on the issue. His friends at the club are pleading to reason with him but the forward has made his mind up.

It is hard not to come to the conclusion that Sancho is wanting his time at United to end and January looks to be when this will come true. Ultimately, his exit will be a disappointment but Ten Hag is fully aware it is the right thing to do.
