Manchester Airport passengers confused as they become 'stuck in a huge queue'
Passengers landing in one part of Manchester Airport faced a 'huge queue' before they could make their way home yesterday. Travellers reported being 'stuck' after arriving at Terminal 3 on Sunday afternoon (January 7) as they made their way to customs from baggage reclaim.
The issue was caused by a magnetic door becoming stuck in a secure area of Terminal 3 at around 3.15pm. Manchester Airport's resilience team soon fixed the issue, but there was confusion for some passengers who were faced with a long line ahead of them as they tried to make their way out of the airport.
A number of passengers shared their concerns on X (formerly Twitter). @AliciaWaite11 wrote: "Stuck in terminal 3 arrivals as doors stuck @4N_McrAirport this is poor been here 15 min if other planes offload. It will [be] dangerous @MENnewsdesk"

It's understood that other doors were not affected by the isolated issue. Workers fixed the problem in a few minutes, but passengers towards the back of the queue faced a longer delay and no announcement was made over the terminal's sound system.
