Man Utd: Ten Hag must 'work out how to motivate' £73m star at Old Trafford

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag needs to find a way of getting the best out of Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Ten Hag took over as the Red Devils’ chief following the climax of last season and is searching for a way to give all of his attacking talents regular game-time.

Manchester United may have forked out £73million to sign Sancho from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund last year, but ten Hag has already shown that he is not afraid to drop him from the starting line-up.

There are also doubts over whether the 23-cap England international will be heading to the World Cup in Qatar.

Sancho was not included by Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate in the squad for the Nations League clashes with Italy and Germany.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "Sancho is an outstanding footballer, but finding a way to unlock that on a weekly basis at United is the challenge.

"So far, they haven't managed to get that out of him and ten Hag has to figure out how to motivate him."
