Klopp, Guardiola, Ten Hag, Conte: Who is the best football manager right now?

Two of the most highly-regarded managers on the planet pitted their wits against one another on Sunday afternoon as Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool played host to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Premier League.

After an enthralling clash on Merseyside, it was Klopp who emerged with bragging rights – courtesy of a 1-0 victory.

The pair have engaged in a hotly-contested battle over the Premier League title across the past few seasons and their rivalry is still as keen as ever.

How, though, do Klopp and Guardiola compare to other top bosses around the globe?

That is a question that the folks over at FourFourTwo recently sought to answer as they compiled a list of the 50 top managers in the world right now.

Their final rankings are based on a number of factors. Ability, resources available and - naturally - success achieved over the last 12 months were all taken into account.

As FourFourTwo themselves put it, their top 50 brings together 'the most employable men of 2022'.

We've taken a look at the standings below..

50. Gareth Southgate (England)

49. Maurizio Sarri (Lazio)

48. Marco Rose (RB Leipzig)

47. Jesse Marsch (Leeds United)

46. Vincenzo Italiano (Fiorentina)

45. Paulo Fonseca (Lille)

44. Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Rangers)

43. Lucien Favre (Nice)

42. Igor Tudor (Marseille)

41. Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton)

England boss Southgate kicks off the list in 50th place - and would likely feature higher had the Three Lions' form not dipped so markedly in recent months.

Leeds head coach Marsch and new Brighton chief De Zerbi are two of the 13 current Premier League managers featured.

40. Simone Inzaghi (Inter Milan)

39. Marco Silva (Fulham)
