Manchester United are considering making a fresh summer move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

And that could mean a potential link up with Kane and former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino at Old Trafford.

United are watching developments closely as rivals Manchester City ’s number one transfer priority is Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

City tried to sign Kane last summer but Tottenham held firm and refused to sell and now Spurs face a fresh dilemma over the England captain.

Kane, who will turn 29 in July, will have two years left on his contract this summer and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will either want to tie his prize asset to a new deal - or risk him running down his deal which would mean his transfer value drops.

Tottenham will hope that Antonio Conte’s presence at White Hart Lane could still get them into the top four and also help persuade Kane to stay as the Spurs striker has insisted publicly how much he enjoys working with the Italian manager.

Kane’s relationship with the Spurs fans also remains strong despite last summer’s transfer saga. Conte has said he has three months left to convince Kane to stay at Tottenham.
