Man Utd: £50m star's situation 'not great' at Old Trafford

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not in a great situation at Old Trafford, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

If the 24-year-old is to leave United this summer, Jones thinks joining Crystal Palace on loan could be his only option.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have offered Wan-Bissaka to at least one club.

The same outlet states that the right-back has been informed that he is not part of manager Erik ten Hag’s plans.

Prior, multiple outlets, including BBC Sport, reported that Palace are considering making a move for Wan-Bissaka, so the club in question could be the Eagles.

A switch to Palace would see the Englishman rejoin the south London outfit three years after leaving them for United in a £50m deal.

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that things do not sound great for Wan-Bissaka and a loan move to Palace does not really work for United.

Speaking to GMS, the transfer insider said: “It doesn’t sound great for Wan-Bissaka, but if Crystal Palace are the only team right now showing interest in him, that’s going to be a loan deal and that doesn’t really suit Man United.”

Wan-Bissaka has a lot of good qualities. In fact, after he arrived at Old Trafford, Colin Omogbehin, who worked with the full-back at Palace, said he was “tailor-made” for United. Defensively, there are few better players than him.

“One-versus-one he will match you physically, he will run with you, he will slide on the floor if you’re getting away from him a little bit more and he has to go into overdrive,” Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand said a couple of years ago.
