Man United unveil two new players after double transfer before deadline day
Manchester United unveiled both Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven to the home fans on Sunday afternoon prior to their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
Heaven arrived at Old Trafford on Saturday morning after observing the victory over Rangers in the Europa League from the stands. The centre-back made his debut for old club Arsenal in the victory over Preston North End in the Carabao Cup earlier this season but was mainly seen as an academy talent.
However the 18-year-old, who has signed a contract until June 2029, has arrived to go straight into the United first-team. The Reds would add their second new signing to the squad on Sunday morning as Dorgu's hotly anticipated arrival from Lecce was confirmed.
The 20-year-old Danish international arrives on a deal until June 2030 and has been signed to add some much needed strength to the Reds' left side. "I am incredibly proud to be able to call myself a Manchester United player; this is a very special day for my whole family," Dorgu said.
"I cannot wait to work with Ruben Amorim; his vision for this team and the future of the club is incredibly exciting. "There is a clear plan set out for my development, and I feel that Manchester United is the perfect place to fulfil my potential and complete my huge ambitions."
Having signed so close to the match with Palace, neither Dorgu nor Heaven were able to feature in Ruben Amorim's squad. They are in attendance at Old Trafford though and were presented to the crowd prior to kick-off.
Dorgu has taken on the No.13 shirt while Heaven will be United's new No.26. Both men made their way onto the pitch to pose with their new shirts and were greeted warmly by the United faithful.
