United have made great strides on Friday to complete a deal for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo this summer. The Reds put forward an offer of £70m on Thursday afternoon, which has been accepted by the Bees on Friday.

Now, the focus is on completing his medical and eventually getting him officially announced. United are in a race against the clock to get that done before the pre-season tour of the United States which begins with flights to America on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, new signing Diego Leon has had his number for the new season confirmed by the club. He is expected to be in Stockholm tomorrow for the pre-season fixture against Leeds.
