Man United told harsh Thomas Tuchel appointment reality amid Erik ten Hag sack claim
Manchester United have been told to steer clear of former Bayern Munich and Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel if they decide to sack Erik ten Hag.
An executive meeting between the club hierarchy took place in Knightsbridge, London on Tuesday to discuss Ten Hag's position among other matters. The Manchester Evening News understands that the Dutchman's future is yet to be clarified.
United are currently 14th in the Premier League and have won just two league games. Last week's draws with FC Porto and Aston Villa had hardly left a good impression, either.

Even if Ten Hag takes charge of the Brentford game after the international break, there is no clear idea whether he really is Ineos' long-term man for the job. Should Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the senior management team decide to move in another direction, a new head coach could be drafted in fairly quickly.
Tuchel has been a common name linked with the role after leaving Bayern Munich in the summer and Tte Manchester Evening News understands he has admirers at Old Trafford. However, former Chelsea defender William Gallas has insisted United would be better off looking at other options.
