Man United learn £30m price tag for next transfer after signing secret weapon

Manchester United are close to securing the signing of Joshua Zirkzee and they could well also move for his Bologna team-mate Dan Ndoye, too.

United and the Serie A side have agreed a deal for the Dutch international forward to move to Old Trafford and he will fly into Manchester on Thursday evening ahead of a medical on Friday.

The move for Zirkzee will cost United €42.5m, with the payments staggered over a three-year period. Had they opted to trigger his £34m release clause, they would have had to pay it in full.

Once that move has been completed, attention will turn to where United will strengthen their side next and that could well start with Ndoye.

The Swiss international winger impressed at EURO 2024 and, alongside Zirkzee, helped Bologna qualify for this season's UEFA Champions League, and his agent Fahd Adamson has confirmed United's interest in his client.

"It is good that Manchester United are interested in Dan, and it is somehow logical as well," he said.

"United belong to INEOS, and Dan has already played for the other INEOS-owned clubs in Nice and Lausanne. He received countless WhatsApp messages from English clubs after the quarter-final against England. Let's see what emerges from them.

"We must discuss Dan's future with him and his family. We need to weigh things up well, to prevent him making the wrong career move."
