Man United injury latest as three players set to miss Everton after Lisandro Martinez boost

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim earned his first win in charge of the club on Thursday as the Red Devils defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League.

Amorim's team got off to the perfect start, just as they did against Ipswich, when Alejandro Garnacho put them ahead but the Norwegian side shocked Old Trafford with two quickfire goals.

Rasmus Hojlund's brace reinstated United's advantage and secured their second win of the Europa League group stage. Now, attention turns to three Premier League games in the space of six days.

United take on Everton and Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford with a tough trip to Arsenal sandwiched in between. Amorim's men are currently 12th in the Premier League table but three wins could lift them as high as the Champions League spots.

Fortunately for United, there were no fresh injury concerns from the midweek European clash. Lisandro Martinez returned to the side after missing the draw at Ipswich Town at the weekend yet there was still no sign of Leny Yoro.

Amorim has hinted that he will take his time in re-introducing the 19-year-old back to action. "He is available to train, but we are working on his fitness,” he said.

“This is important. We believe a lot in him, and we are trying to prepare the best way to start with Leny.”
