Evans, Lindelof, Shaw - Man United injury news and return dates ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Manchester United will be targeting a swift return to winning ways when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

United, who lost the last Premier League meeting between the two clubs, losing 2-1 at the City Ground almost a year ago, suffered their first defeat of the Ruben Amorim era on Wednesday night, losing 2-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite defending well for long periods of the game, United conceded two goals from corners, failing to keep out efforts from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba.

However, the nature of December's busy schedule means United have the opportunity to get their midweek setback out of their system quickly. Ahead of the visit of the Midlands outfit, here is all the very latest on the United injury front.

Injury: Unknown

Evans has been missing from each of United's last three matchday squads with an unspecified injury issue. He started the opening game of the Amorim era away at Ipswich Town almost a fortnight ago but has not been included in the head coach's plans since.

He was missing from the open training session United hosted in front of the media last Wednesday ahead of the Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt as he was on a designated recovery day.

He is still currently missing from training.

Possible return date: Unknown.

Injury: Groin

Lindelof was forced off injured during Sweden's 2-1 win over Slovakia in last month's international break. The defender was withdrawn with just 26 minutes on the clock, requiring support from the Sweden medical staff.
