Man United get second chance to secure Erik ten Hag's dream transfer

Manchester United's summer transfer window has been handled more professionally than in previous years.

While Erik ten Hag has become accustomed to being the one-man show trying to secure transfers, he now has an experienced and dedicated team around him all pulling in the same direction. Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox have all worked with the Dutchman closely so far, and the results have already been clear to see.

Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee have both been added to the squad, and the Reds are already planning ahead for all eventualities. MEN Sport reported on Wednesday morning that Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui is on United's radar should Aaron Wan-Bissaka be successfully sold.

The Englishman has entered the final year of his contract, and United want to make some money back before he leaves for free in 2025. In Mazraoui, United are targeting a player who would be a dream addition for Ten Hag.

During his time at Ajax, the 26-year-old became an integral member of Ten Hag's team and had become loyal to the United boss like Lisandro Martinez, Antony, and countless others had before him. In the summer, when Ten Hag traded Amsterdam for Manchester, Mazraoui also decided his time was up and moved to Munich.

However, while Ten Hag enjoyed some success at the Theatre of Dreams, the Moroccan struggled in Germany. Back in April 2023, Mazraoui went on the attack, expressing his annoyance at the lack of opportunities he has received at the Allianz Arena less than a year into his move.
