Man throws glass bottle at woman before punching passer-by in violent rampage
A man threw a glass bottle at a woman before punching another passer-by in a violent rampage in Warrington.
The incident was reported at around 7pm on Saturday (July 15) on London Road in Stockton Heath. Police said a 31-year-old woman was physically assaulted by a man who threw a glass bottle at her.
The offender then went on to punch a member of the public who tried to intervene during the assault. No major injuries were sustained.

A 37-year-old man from Warrington was arrested on suspicion of section 39 assault in connection with the incident and he has since been released on bail.
Police Constable Kieran McGregor of the Area Investigations Team, said: “Enquires in relation to this incident are ongoing and we are doing all we can to establish what took place.
“There were a number of people in the area at the time who will have witnessed the incident and I would urge them to come forward so we can fully understand the circumstances of what took place. I would urge anyone with information about this incident, but has not yet spoken to police, to contact us on 101.”
