Manchester City can secure a Champions League last-16 spot with two games to spare tonight against Young Boys.

A win guarantees City's place in the knockout stages for another season, while a draw would do against the Swiss opponents if Red Star don't beat RB Leipzig in the other game in Group G. Should City win and Leipzig lose, the Blues would move six points clear of the Germans with two games remaining, knowing a point against them later this month would see them top the group. Alternatively, four points from the next two games secures top spot with one game remaining.

City could be boosted by Erling Haaland's availability after he was replaced at half-time against Bournemouth at the weekend with a twisted ankle. Haaland was moving freely in training on Monday, easing concerns over his fitness, and will be in contention to face Young Boys if passed fit.

Guardiola could rotate his squad again after making a number of changes against Bournemouth, with Sunday's trip to Chelsea in the Premier League on the horizon.
