Man City vs West Ham highlights and reaction as Erling Haaland breaks Premier League record

Manchester City are back in Premier League action on Wednesday night as they take on West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.

City have gone 18 games unbeaten in all competitions and will have to win once again against the relegation-threatened Hammers to go back to the top of the table.

After finally losing their grip on first place over the weekend, Arsenal climbed back to the summit with a confidence-boosting 3-1 win over London rivals Chelsea on Tuesday night. But their lead is just two points and the Blues still have two games in hand on their title rivals.

Pep Guardiola is set to welcome Nathan Ake back to the squad against West Ham but Kevin De Bruyne remains a doubt after missing Sunday's win over Fulham with an injury.

The Blues were given a tricky task after a frustrating first half but have come through it with flying colours thanks to goals from Ake, Haaland and Foden.

Phillips comes on for Rodri with three minutes added.

Foden gets his first goal since returning to action! His volley after a corner is cleared takes a big deflection but there will be no taking it off him! The 1000th goal of Guardiola's reign!

Ake and Alvarez make way for Akanji and Foden.

What a finish that is, and that was a double celebration. First, Haaland’s record was rightly celebrated, and second there was pure relief on a night that has been so tense for so long. Nobody will remember that now, though, as Haaland has the record and that’s all that tonight will be remembered for.

It's a record-breaker! City win back possesssion and Grealish immediately plays through Haaland, he then dinks wonderfully over Fabianski for his 35th of the season!
