Man City vs Liverpool LIVE Early team news and how to watch huge Premier League clash

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Liverpool.

This afternoon’s contest is a seismic showdown between two clubs with title ambitions. City arrive buoyed by three straight wins with the loss at Aston Villa a fortnight ago the only one Pep Guardiola’s men have suffered since August.

Liverpool have also found winning form following a run of six defeats in seven and both sides are aiming to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top following the Gunners’ 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Saturday.

A win for City would move them up to second, four points behind Arsenal, heading into the international break.

Kick off is at 4.30pm and we’ll have all the build-up, action, reaction and analysis right here so stay with us:

City lost both fixtures 2-0 to Liverpool last season and were outplayed by Arne Slot’s side.

The two fixtures in 2023-24 were both draws so the Blues haven’t beaten Liverpool since winning 4-1 in April 2023.

That success is the only one for City in last eight top flight fixtures with the Merseysiders.

On the flip side, the Blues defeat here to Liverpool last term is their only one in their last nine Etihad meetings with the Anfield outfit.

This about as tasty a Premier League fixture as you can get. City and Liverpool have won the last eight top flight titles between them and pushed each other to new heights in recent years.

Right now both are playing catch up to Arsenal but the Gunners dropped points at Sunderland on Saturday and the winner’s of this afternoon’s Etihad clash will go second in the standings and take significant momentum into the November international break.

Bring it on.
