Man City vs Leeds United LIVE early team news and predicted line-ups

Manchester City will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table this afternoon when they host Leeds United at the Etihad Stadium.

City are at the summit of the top flight heading into today's action and know they can go four points clear of second-placed Arsenal with victory this afternoon. The Gunners next play on Sunday when they travel north to take on Newcastle United.

City vs Leeds also sees the return to management of Sam Allardyce, who has been installed at Elland Road in a bid to keep them in the top flight. He replaced Javi Gracia this week and has four games to keep Leeds in the Premier League, starting this afternoon.

Kevin De Bruyne could be back for the encounter, after missing the last two games with an injury niggle, and would be a huge boost for Pep Guardiola's side if so. Should he return to action, City would be back at full strength, while Guardiola also has a choice to make over whether to recall Ederson ahead of Stefan Ortega who started the midweek win over West Ham.

Kevin De Bruyne has a chance of being back involved for City this afternoon after missing the last two games due to injury.

City's talisman has been out of late due to niggles which has seen him absent for the Premier League victories over Fulham and West Ham United.

However, Pep Guardiola has confirmed the Belgium international has been back in training this week ahead of today's clash against Leeds.

Here's what the City boss had to say on De Bruyne's chances of being involved this afternoon.
