Manchester City supporters can look forward to a party atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium today after securing the Premier League title on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's men were expecting to need a win over Chelsea on Sunday to retain their crown. However, Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest yesterday meant the Blues were crowned champions without kicking a ball.

City's 2022/23 success is their third title in a row and their fifth in the last six campaigns. It also marks their first trophy in the bid to win the treble.

In June, City will face Manchester United in the FA Cup final and Inter Milan the week after in the Champions League final to secure the historic achievement. With the Premier League wrapped up, Sunday may allow Guardiola to rest a few of his key players.

One man who will be hoping he is not rested is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has scored a whopping 52 goals this season including 36 in the Premier League.

He has already secured the record for the most goals in a single Premier League campaign but he will be hopeful of extending this further after a one game 'goal drought'. Fringe players - Kalvin Phillips, Aymeric Laporte and Rico Lewis could be in line for starts.

If Guardiola is considering making changes, then he may also consider how close Kevin De Bruyne is to breaking his own record of assists in a season. De Bruyne would be a prime candidate for a rest after looking knackered against Real Madrid, but he's also two assists off equalling his joint record of 20 in a season, and three from breaking it.
