Man City's psychological disadvantage in Premier League title race with Liverpool FC
Manchester City have seven games left to play as they look to claim a fourth Premier League title in five seasons. Following Liverpool’s devastating 4-0 win over Manchester United last night, the Premier League title race is very much heating up.
Ahead of tonight's match vs Brighton, the Reds led City by two points at the top of the table, but a victory would see City return to the top of the table. Pep Guardiola ’s side are no strangers to title races, especially close ones against Liverpool that can be decided on a knife-edge, and their contest in 2018/19 went right to the wire, with City only triumphing on the final day of the season by a singular point as they beat none other than Brighton to secure their fourth Premier League title.
Yet the challenge of playing after Liverpool this round, knowing that their opponents have already done their part, can be draining in a title race of this magnitude.
