Man City player ratings vs Liverpool FC as Ederson and Bernardo Silva good
Ederson: Terrific with his hands and on another level with his feet to get City out of difficult positions. Outclassed Alisson. 8
Walker: A few rash decisions that didn't thrill Guardiola but provides such good cover to stop counter-attacks. 7
Dias: Didn't put a foot wrong and unfortunate to have a goal ruled out for a soft foul on Alisson from Akanji. 8
Akanji: Looked much more comfortable than he did against Chelsea further forward and helped Ake out well against Salah. 7
Ake: Did so well against Salah for so long, but will feel gutted that the Egyptian still bagged an assist. 8
Rodri: Much more like it, calm on the ball and offering an attacking threat whenever he could get forward. 7
Silva: His amazing form, and run of performances against Liverpool, continues. Unplayable at times. 8
Alvarez: Remarkable effort to start after his efforts this week in South America but looked off the pace. 5
Foden: Lively and involved, although caught offside a few too many times in the second half. 6
Doku: Brought the chaos but was unable to do much with it and too often looked hesitant to shoot. 6
Haaland: Took his goal well and also worked well for the team winning possession back and saving Rodri from a yellow. 7
Not used: Ortega, Carson, Stones, Gomez, Gvardiol, Phillips, Bobb
