Man City manager Pep Guardiola gets Bayern Munich offer during Wimbledon visit

Pep Guardiola laughed off the pessimistic offer of a return to Bayern Munich from Wimbledon star Alexander Zverev, as the Manchester City boss took in Saturday's Centre Court action.

Almost ready for a return to the Etihad Stadium for pre-season preparations, Guardiola was spotted making one last stop. Smartly dressed, he was picked up by television cameras watching today's showpiece matches at London's famous grand slam tennis tournament from the Royal Box.

One match he was treated to was Zverev's defeat of Great Britain's Cameron Norrie. Upsetting the home crowd, the German ran out 6-4, 6-4 and 7-6 winner in straight sets. Interviewed on-court afterwards, the No.4 seed admitted his nervousness once he realised the Man City manager was a spectator.

The Spaniard responded with a smile and blew a kiss to the tennis star, but was then stunned to hear his following offers.

"By the way, last thing, Bayern Munich need a coach, man," Zverev cheekily put to the listening Guardiola. The Spaniard of course managed the German club between 2013 and 2016, leaving there a popular figure having won seven trophies.

Zverez was saying this despite Vincent Kompany's recent appointment in Munich, and Guardiola couldn't help but shake his head and laugh.
