Man City make Jack Grealish decision as Aston Villa plan £55m double bid & more transfer rumours

Manchester City have reportedly changed their mind about the prospect of being open to offers for Jack Grealish during the summer transfer window, Football Insider reports.

It was claimed the club were willing to listen to offers for the England international if it meant being able to raise funds towards signing a high-value player such as Jude Bellingham this summer. But Grealish has become indispensable to City over recent weeks and months, though, and the attacking midfielder is now almost certain to stay put.

Funding a potential move for Bellingham requires others to exit instead, which is where Grealish's former club Aston Villa could come into the conversation.

Football Insider also report the West Midlands club have discussed the idea of launching a double bid to buy England internationals Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips and claims City could be tempted by an offer of around £55million.

Walker previously spent the 2010/11 season on loan at Villa Park while still at Tottenham Hotspur, with Unai Emery's side said to be in the market for a right-back this summer. Phillips being linked with Villa predates the player's move to Manchester, dating back to when Leeds United were in the Championship.

If City were to receive such a sizeable offer, then that would go a long way towards offsetting the signing of a Bellingham. While Phillips is under contract long-term, Walker's current deal expires in just over a year, meaning this summer would be one of the few remaining windows to receive a few should an extension not be agreed upon.
