Man City make 'contact' with Bruno Guimaraes for summer transfer and more rumours
Manchester City have reportedly made contact with Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes' representatives ahead of the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola is well-stacked in midfield following the summer arrivals of Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes. However, if reports in Europe are to be believed, Guimaraes could be the next introduction.
According to AS, Man City have 'already contacted the player's entourage' over the possibility of a summer move. The report adds that City would have to pay the €117m (£100m) release clause at Newcastle.

Guimaraes' release clause is said to be able to be paid over three payments. Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with the Brazilian in the past.
According to the report, Guimaraes 'dreams' of wearing the Barcelona colours. However, Barca's financial situation could prevent them from signing the midfielder.
Elsewhere, another report has claimed that City have agreed a deal to bring Savio to the Etihad Stadium. The winger is currently enjoying a terrific season with Girona, who are a member of the City Football Group.
Football Insider has claimed that an agreement is in place for the Brazilian to join at the end of the season, although there is no formal confirmation of the deal. Savio is currently on loan from Troyes, who are also a member of City Football Group's clubs.
Finally, a bid in excess of £250,000 has been made for Cardiff City teenager Timeo Whisker. Wales Online have reported that the bid has been accepted, but counter-reports have indicated that nothing has been agreed yet.
