Manchester City are battling to defend their Premier League title race after their draw with Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola’s side hosted the recent league leaders and played out a tense 0-0 stalemate at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The result saw City fall three points behind Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s team overcame an early goal to defeat Brighton. It is a slender gap between the three clubs and any slip-ups could have huge implications at the top of the table.

City will quickly return to action on Wednesday in a home clash against Aston Villa. Following the draw with Arsenal, it is set to be a tough challenge for the treble winners who may feel they have a point to prove after losing at Villa Park in December. The weekend will see City take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The game in south London comes days before City head to Spain for the first leg of their Champions League tie with Real Madrid. A home game against Luton Town will be sandwiched between the Real Madrid return leg at the Etihad Stadium before Guardiola’s side take on Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final.

The Premier League title race will come sharply back into focus with back-to-back away games against Brighton and Nottingham Forest at the end of April. City also have a game at Tottenham Hotspur that is yet to be rescheduled and could prove pivotal at the end of the season.

In May, City begin with a home game against Wolves followed by a trip to Fulham a week later. The final day of the season will see the defending champions host West
