Man City interested in Bundesliga midfield star and other transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly looking to sign a Bundesliga midfield star in the summer.

Christopher Nkunku has been in scintillating form for RB Leipzig this season, notching an impressive 18 goals in 30 appearances.

This included a highly reputable seven goals in just six Champions League matches.

The Frenchman's form has not gone unnoticed by Pep Guardiola according to Bild via Goal who claim that City have entered the race to sign the attacking midfielder.

If they are to land his signature, City may have to battle Arsenal who have reportedly been keen on Nkunku in the past.

Back in January 2019, Bild reported that the Gunners were close to signing the player when he was at PSG but decided to sign Denis Suarez on loan instead.

Elsewhere, if rumours are to be believed, Guardiola is planning a raid of the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

ESPN claims that both City and Liverpool are watching the progress of England international Bukayo Saka.

Any move for the 20-year-old is dependant on whether or not the Gunners qualify for the Champions League.

Failure to do so could open the floodgates for the two title favourites to make their bids.

Saka's current contract expires in 2024 so Guardiola may be confident of getting a cheap deal for the youngster.

The Englishman has scored six goals and grabbed four assists in 21 Premier League appearances this season.
