Man City get strong Pep Guardiola message as Wimbledon clip goes viral

Pep Guardiola has enjoyed something of a busman's holiday this summer.

Manchester City's manager has taken a break from a very successful day job in the football world to give some tips to the Boston Celtics on how to win a record-breaking NBA title, and have one of the best tennis players in the world ask for some coaching at Wimbledon. There was also a clip of the tennis picked up by plenty of Blues of what seemed to be a textbook Guardiola touchline team-talk as he spoke with his daughter.

While many of the players have not yet finished their 2023/24 campaigns as they fight for international glory at the European Championship or Copa America, Guardiola will be returning to Manchester refreshed next week and ready to begin preparations for the new season. There has been time for travel, golf, and watching some of his favourite sports live as the City manager has made the most of his time off.

City need a refreshed Guardiola to squeeze every last bit of motivations out of not only himself but also the squad as he acts as the driving force behind a team looking to make even more history and win a fifth Premier League title in a row. Having spoken when they won their fourth title about how tired he was, a rest was needed.
