Man City fly out for pre-season tour without Mahrez as Mendy signs for new club
Here are your Wednesday evening's Manchester City headlines.
Manchester City will take a 25-man squad to Japan and South Korea, with Riyad Mahrez left out of the travelling group to complete a transfer out of the club.
City returned to training on Monday in Manchester, but there has been an unusual lack of any insight from the club in terms of who reported back for pre-season. Mahrez is the only senior player not to travel, with a move to Al-Ahli edging closer to completion. City agreed that the Algerian did not have to travel after they received an acceptable offer of up to £30m.
