Man City 7-0 RB Leipzig highlights and reaction after Haaland (five!), Gundogan and De Bruyne all score

Manchester City won 7-0 against RB Leipzig - and Erling Haaland scored five of them!

The last-16 tie seemed finely poised after an opening leg in Germany which ended a goal apiece and saw both teams have periods of dominance. City were in total control in the opening 45 minutes but only Riyad Mahrez managed to find the back of the net.

The Bundesliga side came flying out of the traps after the break and were well worth their eventual equaliser when Josko Gvardiol towered high to power home a header.

However, the tie was as good as over by half-time of the second leg, with the Blues leading 4-1 on aggregate after a Haaland hat-trick. Haaland would go on to score twice more after the break, with Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne also getting in on the act.

Remarkable. What looked to be a tricky game beforehand has turned into a cakewalk for City. FIVE goals for Erling Haaland and strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundgoan seel an unforgettable Europan night. So many goals that the stadium announce thought it was eight!

If it wasn't for Haaland, De Bruyne would be Man of the Match but he's certainly got the goal of the game with a stunning, curling shot form the edge of the box!

Akanji and Mahrez have both had chances but another goal doesn't look likely at the moment. There's currently a pause in play as Raum receives treatment following a blow to the head.

The level has dropped since Haaland went off. The crowd are trying to get the players going again but everybody looks as though they’d like the final whistle.
