Man City 4-0 Bournemouth highlights and reaction as Kevin De Bruyne shines in comfortable win

Manchester City made light work of Bournemouth on their return to the Etihad as they eased to a 4-0 win in their first home game of the season.

A superb first half put the Blues in total control as Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden all got off the mark for the season. De Bruyne in particular was sparkling in his performance.

It was a much tamer affair in the second half as City took their foot off the gas in the searing heat at Eastlands, but they still managed to add to the scoreling, with Jefferson Lerma turning into his own net after superb work from Joao Cancelo.

It of course means it's two wins out of two for Pep Guardiola and his side as they get their title defence off to the perfect start, and put down an early marker this season.

The Norwegian now boasts two goals and an assist in 150 minutes of Premier League football, and in easing to their win over Bournemouth, City killed off another Haaland debate.
