Man charged with two counts of attempted murder after 'incident at house'

A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following an incident at a house in Moston.

The incident happened at an address in the area on Saturday, July 29. Michael Brock, of The Fairway, has now been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The 38-year-old has also been charged with two counts of rape and a breach of a restraining order, police said. According to official court documents, the rape allegations relate to incidents reported in 2021.

Brock has been remanded into custody. He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (August 1).

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A man has been charged following an incident at an address in Manchester on Saturday 29 July 2023. Michael Brock (15/02/1985), of The Fairway, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

"He was further charged with two counts of rape and a breach of a restraining order. He was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (1 August 2023)."
