Two men appear in court charged with rape following alleged sexual assault

Two Stockport men have been charged with rape in connection with an alleged sexual assault. Fahad Aldhfiri, 24, has been charged with two counts of rape in connection with the incident.

Ali Al Khateeb, 32, has been charged with one count rape. The pair, both of Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, have been remanded in custody ahead of their next court appearance, Cheshire Police announced this afternoon (August 16).

It follows an alleged incident against a woman, which took place on Finsbury Way in Handforth, Cheshire. The incident reportedly took place between 9.45pm on August 4 and 1am on August 5.

Both defendants appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Sunday (August 12). They are both due to appear in Chester Crown Court on Friday, September 8.

A third man was also arrested as part of the investigation. The 39-year-old, from the Cheadle area, has since been released without charge.
