Man charged with sexual assault in woodland
A man has been charged with sexual assault after a woman was attacked in Stockport woodland at the weekend. The 31-year-old, named as Miles McCalla, is due to appear in court in September.
A previous police appeal said the attack happened at around 6.40pm on Saturday (June 11) on a footpath between Brook Road and Mill Lane in Cheadle. A woman was walking alone along the wooded footpath towards the back of the Alexandra Hospital when the alleged attack happened.
She was left 'extremely shaken up' after the assault, police previously said. A 31-year-old man was then arrested, according to a Greater Manchester Police update on June 13.
