Man charged with kidnap after woman 'grabbed by a male' in Middleton

A man has been charged with kidnap after a woman was allegedly 'grabbed' in Middleton.

Police were called to Great Arbor Way on Tuesday morning (May 17) following the reported incident.

Gift Oladele, 20, of Orchid Street, Harpurhey, has been charged with kidnap and remanded in custody. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today (Friday May 20), GMP confirmed.

A GMP spokesman said: "A man has been charged with kidnap after an incident in Middleton. Gift Oladele (24/11/01), of Orchid Street, Harpurhey, Manchester, will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (20 May 2022) having been remanded into custody.

"Officers were called to Great Arbor Way at 9.23am on 17 May 2022 after a woman reported being grabbed by a male."
