Man, 19, charged after stabbing in Radcliffe

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Radcliffe.

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Dumers Lane on Monday evening.

Jamil Satchell, 19, has now been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He has also been charged with possession of a bladed article, dangerous driving and other driving offences.

He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday).

In a post on the GMP Bury South Facebook page, officers said: "A man will appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Thursday 24th August charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following the stabbing of a man in Radcliffe on the evening of Monday 21st August 2023.

"Jamil Satchell aged 19years, is also charged with possession of a bladed article, dangerous driving and other driving offences.
