Malik Tillman whips Rangers transfer detectives into frenzy as coy social media move pours fuel on the fire

Malik Tillman and talk of a Rangers return will likely dominate the early Ibrox transfer chat narrative - and his latest social media move has poured fuel on the fire.

The Bayern Munich loanee has an option to buy clause - believed to be worth £5m - in the loan deal that brought him from Germany to Glasgow last summer. He scooped both PFA and Rangers' Young Player of the Year as his term was cut short by injury, but fans have been left hoping they haven't watched the last of him in blue.

And the attacking midfielder has sent transfer sleuths into overdrive by changing his Instagram profile picture to a picture of him in Rangers colours. One fan said Tillman 'wouldn’t do that if thought he was going' and a fellow supporter reckons a permanent capture could prove to 'be an awesome bit of business' if boss Michael Beale can get things over the line.

One called for the Light Blues to 'get the deal done', another said it 'actually does seem significant' while one eagle-eyed fan suggested 'That’s 100% his announcement photo.' Talks are due to take place over his future next week.
