Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has insisted he is willing to make sacrifices in order to help Senegal progress at the AFCON.

The Teranga Lions' successfully defeated Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on Sunday and will now face Burkina Faso in the last four.

Mane has netted twice and also registered one assist so far, with Senegal bidding to claim their first ever Nations Cup trophy.

Mane spoke following his team's triumph, reiterating his willingness to do even more heading into the semi-finals.

"It's my job (to be ready to play everywhere). I have to do it because I think it's really important for me," began the 29-year-old.

"It's important for the boys to make sure we win the game, so to win you have to do everything and make all the sacrifices necessary.

"I think all the games, for me, are the best. Of course I know people always look for nice football, try to create chances and score and that's normal," he added.

"But as a football player you can't expect this all the time. Doing this without winning makes no sense."
