Sadio Mane celebrates on return to Liverpool training ahead of session with Mohamed Salah

Liverpool may have picked up results without Sadio Mane in January, but plenty of their fans will have been delighted to see the forward return to training ahead of Sunday's trip to Burnley.

Mane hasn't featured for the first team since January 2, after helping his country win their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations championship and winning player of the tournament in the process, and a stadium is due to be named in his honour after the achievement.

The 29-year-old sat out Thursday's victory over Leicester City, with fellow AFCON finalist Mohamed Salah making a cameo from the bench after his own exertions in Cameroon.

He is back now, though, and Liverpool have shared footage from Mane's return as he prepares to help the Reds mount a title push in the coming months.

Liverpool shared footage of Mane on Twitter with the caption "Look who's back," as he prepared to get back into the swing of things on the training ground.

He was welcomed back onto the turf by goalkeeper Adrian before getting ready for the training session with his teammates.

Salah has already been back for a few days, as anticipated by manager Jurgen Klopp, having made a quicker return in the aftermath of the AFCON final.

"Will Sadio be available? We have to find out," Klopp said in his press conference ahead of Sunday's game.

"We will make a decision after training. Physically we have to see how the last few days were for him."

Mane started all seven of Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations games, with less than a month between the first and last, and played 120 minutes for the Lions of Taranga in the final.
