Main road closed in both directions for 13 hours after serious crash

A main road remains closed more than 13 hours after a road traffic collision on Friday evening. Shortly after 9am on Saturday, January 28, the B4273 at Glyncoch, Pontypridd, remained closed in both directions.

On Friday evening South Wales Police posted on social media: “Please avoid the area as we are dealing with a serious road traffic collision at present on Ynysybwl Road, Pontypridd.” South Wales Police officers are at the scene carrying out investigation work on Saturday morning and the road is still blocked.

The impacted area stretches from Cefn Close to the Daren Ddu Lanes, which locals say are congested with diverting traffic.
