Alderley Edge celebrity bar Parea launched by Chantelle Heskey closes - with plans for Manchester move
A bar and restaurant popular with celebrities and VIPs in Alderley Edge has closed its doors in the Cheshire village. Parea was launched by footballer's wife Chantelle Heskey and business partner James Golden at the prime spot on London Road in 2018.
It held a final "moving party" at the weekend hailed as a "send off like no other". The venue closed for good straight afterwards, and furniture has started to be removed from inside.
The most recent social media post, publicising the moving party a week ago, added the message: "Seeeee you later alligator." Now, the MEN can confirm that the bar and restaurant is indeed on the move - with plans to open in Manchester city centre later this year.

Chantelle, wife of former England footballer Emile Heskey, and business partner James Golden first launched Parea in Alderley Edge in July 2018. The glitzy opening night was attended by Real Housewives of Cheshire stars, footballers and VIPs, with a DJ set from All Saints star Melanie Blatt.
The following year a lavish first anniversary party was held with yet more VIPs in attendance. Inside the extravagant bash, guests ate sushi balanced on semi-naked females lay on tables inside the venue.
The bar and restaurant, spread over two floors, became known for its famous visitors. It boasted a large outdoor terrace perfect for people watching in the upmarket Cheshire village known for being home to footballers and millionaires.
But co-owner James Golden has now confirmed that with the lease coming up for renewal at the venue in Alderley, the decision was taken to take the Parea brand elsewhere. He also added that the village has "gone very quiet" lately.
