Maik Nawrocki reveals Celtic Champions League wish list as Pole dreams of taking on 2 continental giants

He may still be getting used to life in the Scottish Premiership, but Maik Nawrocki already knows who he wants in the Champions League group stage draw.

Celtic's new Polish recruit made his competitive debut in their opening day 4-2 win over Ross County at Parkhead. He was replaced in the second half by Carl Starfelt as Brendan Rodgers gave the Swede a Celts swansong before he completed his move to Celta Vigo on Thursday. Now Nawrocki can look forward to 90 minutes playing alongside new defensive partner Carl Starfelt.

But the 22-year-old is more excited by the prospect of taking on Europe's best with the Hoops. The Scottish champions are straight into the groups again this year. Under Ange Postecoglou last term, they gave a good account of themselves in most games, but failed to record a win against Real Madrid, RB Leipzig or Shakhtar Donetsk. Better will be expected this time around, with Rodgers targeting improved results on the continent after replacing the Australian.

Nawrocki however, is relishing the experience of taking on sub of the biggest clubs in the game at the most famous venues. And he has revealed the two clubs at the top if his wish list for Euro trips.

"Borussia Dortmund's stadium would be incredible to play in," he said. "Napoli too, I played there with Legia in the Europa League but it would be amazing to see it full on a Champions League night."
